got to handle a few aldabra hatchlings yesterday

Went up to Bob's yesterday because he just had another clutch of aldabras hatch. He is doing a breeding project with the Tulsa Zoo and this is his 2nd of 3 clutches to hatch this year. We can't get one this year, but Monica and I are already saving and planning for one next year!

Lucky, lucky you! I have a pic and me and a male that might be their dad. I got my pic taken with Al, at that time the sr. on-loan male at the zoo, in 2008 (I think), and it's one of my favorite pics. He (they had documentation on 90 or so years of his life) and his young rivals were in their 20s and 30s. It was an awesome experience seeing the behind the scene projects.

We will. In fact Monica said today, "Let's call Bob up and buy one today". Usually, she's the one who has to talk me out of rash financial decisions! Luckily, I had my head screwed on straight....for once!
