If you don't have room for the giant (validus), have you thought about the Black-lined (nigrolineatus) ?
They are really cool also and have great color.

Even when I was keeping them, I was never able to find a great deal of information on them.
I just had to piece together information from various resources.
Even some of the photos are incorrectly labled in some of the reference material.

I forgot to mention this and you may have already found it in your research, but if you plan to try to breed your plated lizards, watch then carefully.
They have a bad habit of eating their own eggs.

I would love to breed these guys, my problem is finding a dealer who can provide females. both of mine turned out male. If anyone knows of anyone who can get this guys please let me know.
