Timor Monitors

Does, anyone here have timor monitors? I am interested in getting one or two in the future, and was wanting to inquire on them as far as their ease of care and maintenance. Also what would be a suitable size cage for 1 to 2 of them housed together? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I believe Cameron Hodges has one.

Jim had some at the show. Blake Bauer used to have some, not sure if he still does.

I have had my Timor Monitor for about two years, and he has proved pretty easy to care for.

Mine is an adult, and I keep him in an enclosure that is approximately: 3'x1.5'x2', and he is doing just fine.
I use a red heat lamp bulb to provide a basking spot (on a slanted branch) of about 105 degrees F.
It is good (especially during shedding) to keep the humidity above about 60%. For me the enclosure commonly gets to 50% and no problems have occured except for a few shedding issues on the tail and toes.
For substrate I like to use Bed-A-Beast coconut husk, and I feed it a varied diet that includes crickets, dubia roaches, the occasional f/t mouse pinky, super worms, and sometimes a little bit of the egg white of a boiled egg and even some canned cat food. Crickets or roaches should make up the staple diet as the cat food and boiled eggs are more fattening. Mine has always been great eater for me.
The only bad thing about the Timors is that they are typically very timid, and they are not very handleable. I usually wear leather gloves when having to handle him because he tends to rake his sharp claws on my hand/arm, and he also gives a painful bite.

I just wanted to get some info from someone who has kept these monitors. I will have to wait until I get my building built first, if I decide to keep these.

I have a Timor monitor which I believe is probably a male. I think I've had him for about 2 years or so. He really is a lot of fun but very timid as most of them are.

I actually have no idea as to the sex of mine. I haven't ever really studied up on how to tell.
Your Timor Monitor looks great as well!
